MANGOAL Dash Cam Buying Guide

How to Choose the Right Dash Cam for Your Vehicle

Unlike universal dash cams, MANGOAL OEM-style dash cams are designed for specific vehicle models and years, helping create a cleaner factory-like appearance with minimal visible wiring. Finding the right model starts with vehicle compatibility, followed by image quality and configuration.

Follow this guide to choose the MANGOAL dash cam that best matches your vehicle and driving needs.

1. Start with Your Vehicle: Year + Make + Model

The first step is to identify your vehicle in this order:

Year + Make + Model

For example : 2025 Ford F-150

Browse Dash Cameras for Standard models or STARVIS 2 Cam for upgraded models, then find the product that matches your vehicle. You can also use the “What are you looking for?” search bar to quickly find a product or feature.

Always make sure the Year + Make + Model on the product page matches your vehicle.

2. Choose Standard or STARVIS 2

Once you find your vehicle, choose the version that best fits your image-quality needs.

Standard Version

Best for everyday driving and practical protection.

MANGOAL Standard dash cams are available in both front-only and front + rear configurations:

Front Only: 4K Ultra HD 2160P

Front + Rear: 4K Front + 1080P Rear

The Standard Version is a practical choice for daily commuting, city driving, errands, and routine family trips.

STARVIS 2 Version

Best for drivers who prioritize image quality and low-light performance.

Selected MANGOAL models feature Sony STARVIS 2 image sensors and are available in both front-only and dual-camera configurations:

Front Only: 4K Sony STARVIS 2

Front + Rear: 4K + 2K Dual STARVIS 2

Choose STARVIS 2 when higher image quality and low-light performance are priorities.

3. Confirm the Correct Model A/B/C

Some MANGOAL vehicle-specific dash cams are available in Model A, B, or C versions. Because these differences vary by vehicle, always compare the reference images in the product details with your vehicle before ordering.

Depending on the vehicle, the differences may involve the original rearview mirror or surrounding sensor cover.

Still unsure? Send MANGOAL support a clear photo of your rearview mirror or surrounding sensor cover area. Our team can help confirm the correct model before you order.

4. Choose Coverage and Storage Together

Your camera configuration and storage capacity go hand in hand.

Coverage Storage
Front Only 64GB Card
Front + Rear 128GB Card

A front dash cam records the road ahead, while a front and rear dual dash cam provides broader coverage in both directions.

Important: Standard models do not support adding a rear camera later. Compatible STARVIS 2 models can support rear-camera expansion, so choose your desired coverage before ordering.

5. Check Accessories for Parking Monitoring

If you want your dash cam to monitor your vehicle while parked, check the power requirements of your specific model.

Compatible MANGOAL OBD cables and fuse box power adapters can provide power for parking monitoring.

Before adding a MANGOAL dash cam to your cart, confirm:

Version: Standard or STARVIS 2
Model: A/B/C, based on the product images
Coverage & Storage: Front Only + 64GB or Front + Rear + 128GB
Accessories: Check parking-monitoring power requirements
